The Circuit Eggs Press

What the heck is “The Circuit Eggs Press?”  Well, lessee…

My idea of a circuit is something that travels in circles, basically going nowhere, but running there just as fast as it possibly can, anyway.  Every musician who plays in two or more venues knows what a circuit is.

And we all know what an egg is.  Now, this has nothing to do with anything, but I heard an interesting story about some guy who was being pushed into a corner about an opinion he offered.  He wasn’t an “authority” on the subject – or maybe he was simply not a member of a group about which he was talking.  Anyway, when told his opinion was worthless due to his lack of personal familiarity, he responded, “I’m not an egg, but I know more about them than a chicken does!”  I like that line of reasoning.  But, then again, I’m weird.

And who hasn’t seen a member of the press on the evening news?  In that case, the “press” is the writer; the person who gathers information to share with the general public.  The “press” is also the machine by which readable material such as news and other works of fiction are set on paper.  (Yes – “…or other works of fiction.”  That wasn’t a typo.)  Of course, there’s the occasional publication that is titled “Press,” in some fashion or another.  …like the “Daily Press.”  So, you get the picture.  “The Press” has something to do with gathering news.

And when we put that all together, “The Circuit Eggs Press” becomes “The idiots running around in circles, getting information on eggs…”   <eye-roll>  But that’s actually very accurate.  We DO pay attention in our various travels to decent restaurants – specifically breakfast joints – and make notes.  (Look soon for our club reviews.)

But I digress.  Back to the title… Circuit Eggs Press… eggs press… express… *wink*  *nudge* Get it?
